Camp Classes

This class introduces young students to robotics. Students will be able to build modelsfeaturing working motors and sensors; program their models; and explore a series of cross-curricular, theme-based activities while developing their skills in language, literacy, and social studies.

Inspired by NASA and Star Wars, watch legos come to life on this class of fun filled of engineering and science activities. Using Lego WeDo Robotics, each day students will build and program different lego projects such X-wings , AT-ST walker, RoboArm and more!

Each exercise in this course focuses on one of many creations of the most creative engineer in our history – Mother Nature. With this course, students can build, program and learn robots representing 12 various animals. Model examples: Giraffe, Venus flytrap, Gorilla and more!

This camp is designed so that keen young engineers of the future can learn about new technologies and robots that could improve life in a modern city. 12 models to choose from: Biplane, firetruck, forklift, helicopter and more!

Welcome to the advance world of Lego Wedo Robotics where campers build larger and more complex models. They will be challenged to design and program their own creation. Models include Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Drawbridge and more.

Students will explore compound machines with new, super fun, models. Change models to perform better based on what they learn about different types of forces (friction, gravity, magnetic and more). Working with a partner they will build and use Lego materials and components as well as modular construction kits to design and make high-quality working prototype such as power race car, dragster, the walker, or Dogbot.

Students will learn about and understand gas-powered systems. They can investigate the components that comprise the systems, measure pressure in psi and bar, and explore kinetic and potential energy.

Students will build their own mini movie set and create an animated movie using LEGO mini figures and other objects created at camp. The students will also learn how to edit their movies and add music, narration, rig removala and titles using LEGO Stop Animation software.

Clanking, stomping, rolling and flying - Lego robots are on the march! In this camp, you will discover how to design and create some of the coolest robot and mecha models around. Using balance, details and alternatives uses of Lego bricks techniques, you will build all-new models: the mighty, X-91-B, the spider-like Robo-Walker and the powerful Plasma Mech.

Basics Students will learn the basic controls of the game such as how to move, mine, build, craft, and defend. Depending on the session students will learn how to build basic structures such as houses or castles. Students will also be able to join with other classmates in a fun and safe environment where they can learn to work together to accomplish a task.
